John grew up in Arapahoe, and joined Orthman in 1990 to assist with production scheduling. His work led to progressively more significant roles, and he became the sales and marketing manager before purchasing Orthman in 2000. He is well known in the ag industry and an active member of the Farm Equipment Manufacturers Association (FEMA). John earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.
Director of Marketing
Originally from Enders, Neb., Rod worked for Orthman as sales and marketing manager from 1994 to 2003. After working with Trimble Navigation and Topcon Positioning as N.A. Agriculture Sales and Support Manager, Rod returned to Orthman in 2012 to assume the director of marketing role. Rod earned a bachelor’s degree in ag science from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.
Director of Operations
Before joining Orthman, Ward worked at Pramac America LLC and served as director of manufacturing for Powermate Corporation. A native of Callaway, Neb., Ward earned a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, as well as an MBA from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
Director of Finance
Brian served as controller at Harv Farm Supply and then Champion Home Builders in York, Neb., before joining the Orthman team as corporate controller in 2009. Originally from Schuyler, Neb., he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
Director of Human Capital
Shortly after college, Amber entered private practice with Heldt and McKeone in Lexington before joining the Orthman team in 2012. A native of Polk, Neb., she earned a bachelor’s degree magna cum laude in business administration and sports administration from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
