Conveying Division names Business Manager

Orthman Manufacturing today announced the appointment of Doug Hampton as Business Manager of their Conveying division. The Conveying Division manufactures industrial materials handling and processing equipment. Hampton will be responsible for overseeing all production and engineering aspects of this Division.

His ‘in-the-field’ experience and product knowledge will greatly benefit us on the operations side.” said Orthman President John McCoy. The Conveying Division currently operates from sites near Lexington, Nebraska and Columbia, Missouri, and announced a plant expansion last week that includes a new facility in Nebraska. “Doug will help us as we expand our production capabilities and continue to grow the Conveying Division across the United States.” advised McCoy.

Doug grew up in Harvard, Nebraska, then attended the University of Nebraska – Kearney where he earned a BA in Industrial Technology. He joined the Orthman Team in 2007, serving as the Distribution Sales Manager, overseeing sales and marketing initiatives for the Conveying Division. He and his wife, Crystal, live in Kearney, Nebraska with their 2 children, Kennedy and Kane.

Founded in 1967, Orthman Manufacturing got its start as a manufacturer of agricultural equipment, and developed the Conveying Division in 2003. They also manufacture SoilMover earth-moving equipment, and Inter-Motion, a manufacturing machine rebuilder and retrofitter. Orthman products are manufactured in Lexington, Nebraska and are shipped around the world.
